In India, plating trees is an ecological and cultural need rather than only an environmental one. Fast industrialization and urbanization have resulted in a loss of the country's green cover, so aggravating pollution levels and climate issues. The fight against these issues depends much on trees since they serve a vital role in capturing carbon dioxide, producing oxygen, and cleaning the air. They also help to maintain the ecological balance, increase biodiversity, and check soil erosion. Every year from July 1st to 7th, events like Van Mahotsav encourage people to plant trees, so fostering a feeling of responsibility toward the environment. By means of tree plantations, India not only preserves great biodiversity but also ensures a better and sustainable future for its people.
