Once in a small village, there lived a boy named Raghu. He would never waste a single drop of water and saved every bit. He would always say, Water is a necessity! Water is important! Water is life!"
However, the people of his village used water carelessly. Raghu tried to warn everyone and make them aware about saving water, but no one paid heed to the little boy's warning. Raghu even showed them ways to save water but still, the village people didn't care much.
Months passed. One morning, the villagers woke up to find that there was no water. They called out to each other to check if anyone had water. But no one had even a single drop. The taps went dry and there was no water to drink, bathe, or wash clothes
Finally, the villagers approached Raghu. They were sorry for not listening to Raghu and saving water. Raghu said. "It's good that you all admit your mistake. I have saved enough water in the tank We all can use it. But remember to use it carefully and wisely." The villagers thanked Raghu and promised never to waste water.
Luckily for the villagers, they had an early rainy season. The villagers welcomed the rains and worked towards saving each raindrop. Their wells and tanks were again filled with sparkling water. Everyone in the village beamed with joy! The villagers had learnt their lesson and the importance of water. From then onwards, the villagers not only used water responsibly but also worked towards saving it.
