World Ozone Day serves as a crucial reminder of the importance of proper refrigerant recovery. When refrigerants aren't handled correctly, CFC molecules can rise into the stratosphere, break down, and deplete the ozone layer, allowing more harmful UVB radiation to reach the Earth's surface. This year's theme is: Montreal Protocol: Advancing Climate Action. India has been marking this important occasion since 1995. The opportunity to conserve the ozone layer and save our planet is now in our hands. Let's unite to be a part of this thoughtful cause and protect the planet's shield for us and for the generations to come. The discovery of the Antarctic ozone hole was first announced in a paper by British Antarctic Survey's Joe Farman, Brian Gardiner and Jonathan Shanklin, which appeared in the journal Nature in May 1985
