Water as we know is essential for survival. About 75% of the world is covered with water and there is only 1% of drinking water present in the world. Day by day, us humans are using up the clean drinking water and soon there will be no water left for consumption. Water scarcity is a global problem that many people face in everyday life. In remote parts of the world, women have to travel miles to fetch water for daily use from a river. Simple schemes and proper planning can save gallons of water for use. One such scheme is the Rainwater Harvesting Scheme. In this scheme, big tanks and containers are put beside rural houses in villages. When it rains a pipe resting on top of the house suckes the water into the tank below. Water is collected and purified by different ways. This purified water can help save millions of people who die every second beacuse of scarcity of water.
