Whales. They are the largest creatures in the under water kingdom. They can weigh upto 1,50,000 kg at maximum and grow upto 86.3 feet. They feed on small organisms and algae present in the water by gulping the water. They have thick skin called blubber which is very difficult to get past. Noticing the value of their blubber, humans came up with the practice of Whale Harpooning. The humans voyage out on big ships and cruises to fish for these large creatures. The harpoon used to pierce the whale's skin is very strong and sharp. It cuts deep into the muscles. The Whale is then pulled up with use of a rope tied to the harpoon. Let us make Whale Harpooning extinct. Let us inform people and stop this cruel practice. One last Whale fact- Did you know that a whale's call called a whale song can be heard upto 80km away?
