The movement aimed to undermine British rule by promoting economic self-reliance through the use of Indian-made goods (Swadeshi) and boycotting British products. It was a pivotal moment in India's struggle for independence, fostering mass participation and national pride through methods like public meetings, picketing of foreign goods, and the establishment of national education institutions
