Educated unemployment is one of the major problems faced by many developing countries, including India. It refers to the situation where people have completed their education and earned degrees, yet they are unable to find suitable jobs. Every year, thousands of graduates and postgraduates come out of schools, colleges, and universities with the hope of employment, but due to lack of opportunities, mismatch of skills, or over-dependence on government jobs, many remain unemployed.
This problem not only affects individuals but also hampers the progress of society and the nation. When educated youth remain jobless, their talent and knowledge go to waste, and frustration, poverty, and social issues increase. The main reasons behind educated unemployment are population growth, outdated education systems, limited job creation, and lack of practical skills.
To solve this issue, the education system should focus more on skill-based learning, vocational training, and entrepreneurship. Students must also develop self-employment opportunities instead of depending only on government or private jobs. A country can progress only when its educated youth are employed and contributing to national growth.
