Janmashtami is a very joyful festival celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Krishna 🦚, the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu. It usually comes in the month of August or September, on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the dark fortnight. People celebrate this festival with great devotion and happiness 🎉.

On this day, homes and temples are decorated beautifully with flowers 🌸, lights 🪔, and rangoli 🎨. Devotees keep fasts 🙏, sing melodious bhajans 🎶, and read stories about Krishna’s childhood. At midnight ⏰, the moment when Lord Krishna was born, prayers and aarti are performed with a lot of love and faith ❤️.

One of the most exciting parts of Janmashtami is the Dahi Handi 🥣 celebration. Just like little Krishna, who loved butter and curd, groups of young people form human pyramids 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 to break a pot hanging high, filled with curd, butter, or sweets 🍬. The cheers, music, and spirit of teamwork make it a fun and thrilling event.

Janmashtami teaches us the values of truth ✨, love 💕, friendship 🤝, and devotion 🕉. It reminds us to stand against evil and live a life full of kindness and joy 🌟. Truly, Janmashtami is not just a festival, but a celebration of faith and togetherness. 🌸
