India’s Independence Day is celebrated every year on 15th August to mark the country’s freedom from British rule in 1947. This day reminds us of the sacrifices made by leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Subhas Chandra Bose, and many others who fought for our independence.

The main celebration takes place at the Red Fort in New Delhi, where the Prime Minister hoists the national flag and addresses the nation. Across the country, people participate in flag hoisting, cultural programs, and patriotic activities.

Independence Day is not just a celebration but also a reminder of our duty to protect the freedom our forefathers earned. It inspires us to work towards a strong, united, and prosperous India.
